Intel Desktop Board D915PLWD Iflash BIOS Update 0048
Use the DOS based Iflash utility to update your BIOS on all operating systems. Save the file to a temporary directory and double-click the *.EXE to extract necessary files, then double-click the RUN.BAT file. Boot the target PC with the floppy disk in the floppy drive to automatically launch the BIOS update process.
Warning: For all BIOS versions prior to VG91510A.86A.0048, you must first update to this BIOS using the Iflash files in their entirety (do not separate out the .bio file). When running this version of Iflash, please wait for the system to reboot twice.
Once you have updated the system to VG91510A.86A.0048, then you may complete any other updates using your normal process.
CAUTION: DO NOT POWER DOWN YOUR SYSTEM before the update is complete. This update will take up to 3 minutes. There will be no video and you will hear a series of beeps during the update. Do NOT interrupt the BIOS update process; doing so could render your system NON-functional!
NOTE: Before updating the BIOS on the Intel® Desktop Board, manually record all BIOS settings that have been changed (from default) so they can be restored after completing the BIOS update.
