This version of the driver is designed for controllers using software stack 1 (Intel® RAID Controllers SRCZCR, SRCU42L, SRCU32, SRCS14L). It is not compatible with the SRCU42X, SRCS16, SRCU42E, SRCZCRX, SRCU41L, or later controllers. This program will extract a copy of the gdth RAID driver set to a floppy diskette.

5. Continue the installation.

To apply the Microsoft WHQL Signature:
1. Ensure that the installation of Windows 2003 is complete.
2. Go to ��update drivers�� for the RAID controller in device manager.
3. Re-install the drivers on the floppy diskette.

This software is to be used with Microsoft Windows* operating systems only. It will create a floppy disk containing the drivers required to install Windows* 2003 on a RAID host drive.

For a new installation of Windows 2003:

Intel RAID Controller SRCU42L/SRCZCR RAID System Update Package ISO Image v2.0

This System Update Package (SUP) contains the firmware releases for the Intel® RAID controllers except SRCU41L.

The firmware update utilities will update multiple adapters in a system through the following process:

1. For software stack 1 based controllers, up to 4 adapters existing within a single system will be automatically updated when choosing this option. If more that 4 adapters are present, the excess adapters should be removed and the update applied to them seperately.

2. For software stack 2 based controllers, the number of adapters will be detected and the update will be applied based on their PCI order.

3. If both software stack 1 and software stack 2 controllers exist in the same system, they can be updated by individually choosing the adapter from the main menu.

This SUP contains the following firmware versions:
1) SRCS32, SRCU42L,SRCS14L and SRCZCR = 2.42.02-R07A
2) SRCU42X and SRCZCRX = 414D
3) SRCS16 = 713Q
4) SRCU42E and SROMBU42E (available on the SE7520AF2 server board) = 514O
5) SRCS28X = 814B

Intel RAID Controller SRCU42L/SRCZCR Firmware Image 2.42.02-R07A DOS

This download contains the firmware image for the Intel® RAID Controllers (SRCU42L, SRCS14L, SRCZCR, and SRCU32).

The Firmware update utility is not incorporated in this download and must be applied using the OS version of the StorCon utility for the firmware update utility (FRUU).

It may not be possible to apply this update using the Xrom (cntl+g) version of StorCon to a controller with older firmware. The use of an OS (DOS, Windows*, or Linux*) version of StorCon or the FRU utility may be used.

This firmware supports both the "normal" and "recovery" update modes. If the RAID controller firmware is corrupted, you must move the recovery jumper on your controller to the recovery position in order to apply this update.

The Intel® Server RAID Controller SRCU32 does not have a recovery jumper and the FRU utility must be used in normal mode.

Firmware:
- src_rxfw.07a Firmware image for the SRCU42L, SRCS14L, SRCZCR, and SRCU32

Instructions:
To perform an update using the firmware recovery utility, follow steps below:
1. Download the FRU utility and extract it to a floppy diskette by running the extract.bat file.
2. Download and extract the firmware image file to a floppy diskette.
3. If the recovery option is used, remove power (unplug the power cords) from the target system, move the recovery jumper on the RAID controller from the "normal" position to the "recovery" position, and install in the target system.
4. Re-apply power and boot the target system to the FRU disk mentioned in step 1.
5. The system will present a menu that lists the installed raid card and prompt for the firmware file needed.
6. Insert the firmware diskette mentioned in step 2.
7. Press the number key associated with your RAID controller as displayed on the menu (usually the number 0 unless you have more than one RAID card installed).
8. The Firmware will be programmed into the RAID controller; when completed you will be prompted to exit.
9. If the jumper was changed in step 3, power down the target system and remove power (unplug the power cords).
10. Move the recovery jumper on the RAID controller back to the "normal" position.
11. Reinstall the RAID controller, re-apply power, and boot the system.

To perform the update using the StorCon Utility, follow the steps below:
1. Boot to an OS and run the OS version of StorCon.
2. Press enter to select the controller.
3. Press the F4 key for advanced functions.
4. Select the Configure controller option.
5. Insert the floppy containing the firmware image file into the floppy drive.
6. Select the update firmware option.
7. Press enter to confirm the firmware check.
8. Press "Y" to confirm the update.
9. Do not interupt the firmware update process. Reboot the system when the update completes.

This package contains Firmware version 2.34.09-R05c.

When prompted, you may save the contents to a formatted floppy diskette or change the drive pointer to save to a local or network drive. Then follow the on screen instructions.

This update is applied using the Advanced Configuration option in StorCon. It is recommended that you apply this update using the latest DOS version of Storcon. StorCon version 2.12 is tested with this version of firmware and is available in the download package DOS_SC_212.exe

This file is for the ESG-SHV backplane driver for Intel® Servers running under Microsoft Windows*.

Below are the instructions for installing the Hot Swap Controller (HSC) driver for Intel® Servers running the Microsoft Windows* operating systems.

Copy the esg-shv.zip file to a temporary directory.
Go to Microsoft Windows* Device Manager.
Find the unknown device that says similar to ESG-SHV Backplane.
Right-Click & properties.
Select the drivers tab.
Click the update driver button.
Select the specify location option.
Specify the directory in which you extracted the downloaded file.
When it finds it, select finish.

The Intel® Local Control Panel (iLCP) is an optional accessory that enhances the manageability of some of the Intel® Server Boards. The Local Control Panel screen menu update will help you fix the issue stated in the TA-0864-1.

DEPENDENCIES

- Executes under the DOS Shell.
- Use LCP with firmware version 0.74

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES
=======================================
- The following files are necessary to update the iLCP firmware:
RUN.bat - Batch file used to update the iLCP screen menu
FWPIAUpd.exe - DOS utility to program firmware hex file into the flash device
menu.hex - LCP Firmware hex file

Executing the fwpiaupd utility with your own command switches if unsupported and may leave your LCP in a non-operational state! Please use the provided batch file to update the firmware.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
========================================
* Must be done in this order described below

1. Boot system to a DOS-bootable keyfob that has the firmware update files on it.

2. Launch the RUN.BAT file to update the iLCP firmware.

3. When update is complete, the iLPC will be ready to use, no need power cycle system.

The RAID Card LiveCD for SPARC allows you to boot a Sun SPARC architecture based system and create RAID volumes for the Sun StorageTek SAS RAID HBA.

Download the compressed ISO image and unzip it. Once downloaded, you should check that it has not been corrupted during the download before burning it to a CD. There are various free, available utilities for all popular operating systems that allow you to do a md5 checksum, which can be compared against the value listed in this file.

Use the software that supports your CD burner to create a CD using this image file (e.g. Roxio* Easy Media Creator on a Windows* system or the cdrw utility on a Solaris system). Make sure you use the kind of media supported by your CD burner.

LiveCD can be booted from the system's OBP or ok prompt with "boot cdrom"
- On a system with a graphical console, a GUI similar to the one provided during normal Solaris install will come up.
- On a text based console, you will get a root level prompt "#" from which you can run the Uniform Command-line Interface or "arcconf"

Extract the file into a temporary directory. Use a CD burning utility to extract the contents of the ISO image to a Blank CD Media.

Intel® Deployment Assistant 2.0 supports Intel® Server Board X38ML and Intel®
Server System SR1520ML with the following minimum requirements:
- 256 MB RAM, (512 MB preferred)
- Mouse and Keyboard
- CD-ROM drive or USB key
- Monitor resolution of at least 1024x768
- Hard drive required only for unattended OS installations.
Suggested size for OS partition of at least 6GB.
Drive must be on Intel's Tested Hardware List (THOL).
- To download drivers or firmware from the Intel support site,
the server has to be connected to the Internet with only one network port
from the server connected.

Extract the file, and use a CD burning utility to put the image onto a blank CD.

This CD is bootable, and will launch the Intel® Deployment Assistant Wizard to upgrade and configure the BIOS and firmware, plus the option to launch an unattended OS installation including on-board drivers. The Intel® Deployment Assistant Wizard will also allow configuration of the Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II controllers and add-in Intel® SAS RAID Controllers. The Intel® Deployment Assistant Wizard also allows updates and configurations to be saved for additional use on any Intel® Server Board S5400SF.

If viewed from a web browser, this CD provides technical drivers, utilities and documentation.

This CD also contains a DOS .ISO that can be used to create a DOS-bootable media with selected utilities

Intel Server System SR1530HAHLX Platform Confidence Test (PCT) Utility 1.0 for DOS.

The Intel® Server Board Platform Confidence Test package provides a method to determine if an Intel-based server system is correctly assembled and functioning properly. The package provides three test suites for the onboard resources. The test suites included in the package are: the Quick Test, the Comprehensive Test, and a continuous loop of the Comprehensive Test. These tests can be run without user intervention.

At the start of each test, the Platform Confidence Test package probes for the hardware present and reports the identified components. The probe will indirectly identify many assembly and cabling errors, such as broken or improperly seated cables, because the associated hardware component will not be located.

Test results are reported directly to field replaceable units (FRUs), such as the installed processor modules, the server board, disks, and memory. Upon completion of the test, the test results are saved to the RESULT.LOG for viewing.

Note : This is an ISO image that needs to be burned into a blank CD media. When the CD media is created, use the CD to boot to a server.

It is normal for the video screen to go blank for up to 10 seconds during test
